An unfinished new-construction garage ground smooth and finished with a speckled flake floor.
Bare drywall and fresh concrete: this garage was still being finished. New slabs often carry curing compounds and laitance that a coating won't stick to, so grinding comes first.
With the surface opened up, the flake system bonded to clean concrete. The finished floor went down before the owners moved their things in, which is the easiest time to do it.
